Simplificated accumulator starting test

Accumulator is one of motor vehicles and mobile machines elements, which good technical condition determines the availability of the machine. Even when appropriate method of using is applied the available accumulator capacity gradually decreases. The actual technical condition of the accumulator can be objectively found out by carrying out the simplificated starting test, which allows to carry out the accumulator preventive maintenance as well. The test is simple, quick and objective and is therefore suitable for both detail inspection and orientation survey of the accumulator. The paper brings results of verification of the simplificated starting test methodology. The verification was carried out for common lead-acid starting accumulators, which were tested using suggested simplificated starting test and standard capacity test.

Maintenance data evaluation

The paper briefly describes and demonstrates the possibilities of processing, utilization and evaluation of computer maintenance system based data with the aim of increasing of quality and effectiveness of maintenance system. The data in the example were obtained from machine works which uses computer maintenance management for last three years. The presented example is focused on evaluation of maintenance records from point of view of maintenance management system. An emphasis is put on continuous corrections of the maintenance system resulting in its improvement and elimination of weak points.

Optymalizacja przerw konserwacyjnych

W niniejszej pracy zaproponowano metodologię optymalizacji planowych prac konserwacyjnych opartą na wykorzystaniu danych pozyskanych z systemu informacji eksploatacyjnej - dopasowaniu struktury bazy danych, sposobu jej gromadzenia i przetwarzania.

Optimization of preventive maintenance intervals

In the paper, the methodology of optimization of planned preventive maintenance is proposed, which is based on the utilization of data obtained from a maintenance information system - adjusting the database structure, collection and processing of data. The data processing algorithm is based on the application of theory of replacement and its modifi cation for the given problem. The core principle of the algorithm is the minimization of costs of maintenance and operation of production equipment. The algorithm can be either used as a separate tool or integrated into the computer maintenance management system as a complementary module. Therefore it enables to optimize the intervals of various levels of planned preventive maintenance of most of the production equipment in a company. A practical example of application of such algorithm is presented in the end of the paper.
