In its introduction, the article deals with the control unit of the combustion engine - the possibility of the software modification (chip - tuningom). It states the reasons why, since its fabrication, the control unit is not programmed in order to gain the maximum power in the course of gaining the emission norms. The next part contains the brief description of the work in the process of performing the chip-tuning and its possible difficulties. In conclusion, there are the demonstrations of the measurments on two vehicles with a positive result.
