The impact of diesel fuel sulphur content on emissions from diesel engines
Problem siarki w oleju napędowym w aspekcie emisji toksycznych składników spalin
The paper describes negative influence of sulphur contained in diesel fuel on emissions of particulate matter from Diesel engines. Disadvantageous impact of sulphur on diesel catalytic exhaust emission control systems is also presented. In the further part of the paper, current and forecast requirements with regard to sulphur content in diesel oil are shown. At the end of the article the opinion was presented that a sulphur quantity in diesel fuels would be more and more decreased, in spite of certain unfavorable aspects of this fact.
W referacie opisano niekorzystny wpływ siarki zawartej w oleju napędowym na poziom emisji cząstek stałych z silników o zapłonie samoczynnym. Przedstawiono jej negatywne oddziaływanie na sprawnoć katalitycznych układów oczyszczania spalin. Zaprezentowano obecne i przyszłe wymagania odnonie zawartoci siarki w olejach napędowych. Sformułowano tezę o koniecznoci dalszej eliminacji siarki z olejów napędowych, zwracając jednoczenie uwagę na pewne niekorzystne aspekty tego faktu.
